All DenRus Private Custom Tours can be considered to be high quality VIP Tours. We realize you have an important and confusing task in deciding which specific tours, and which tour company would best fulfill your wishes and suit your plans for your brief visit to St. Petersburg. We have created a short list of our standard benefits we offer on each tour as a way for you to compare between our DenRus tours, and those offered by your cruise ship, or other Russian companies. We invite comparison because the results are our best advertizing.
Some of the standard benefits of DenRus Private Custom Tours in St. Petersburg:
- Program flexibility; DenRus is highly flexibly with opportunities to alter your plans as you go, but we request for your best enjoyment that the pre-reserved entry times for the major destination should be honored, simply because missing your pre-reserved entry slot can mean wasted hours in lines.
- Meal Choice: We at DenRus are foodies and love good meals and appreciate the growing range of restaurants available in St Petersburg. All St. Petersburg restaurants are open for you. We never limit your choice to restaurants as other companies do, where there are kickback arrangements. We've never found a quality restaurant that needed to pay guides, or tour companies kickbacks to find patrons. We do know cafes and restaurants, and night clubs in our city very well, so if you have preference in cuisine or grade of cafe/restaurant, we will be happy to recommend some our personal dining favorites for your consideration, but you will decide.
- Shopping options: DenRus does not own souvenir shops, nor do we require visitors to shop. If you do want to shop, our guides know, where they themselves would look for the best deals. If there is something in particular (gift and souvenir books, Russian CD’s and music, Russian fur coats, china and porcelain, black lacquer boxes, Russian jewelry, etc…) you are seeking, then between the staff at DenRus we can recommend the best bargains that we know of, or where the best selections are offered based on our own shopping experiences.
It needs to be mentioned that sometimes the gift shops are also used for restroom stops, provided they are in the near vicinity, when a guest requests to have an unscheduled comfort stop. However, there is no need to do any shopping, or not even to get out from the car for those persons, who do not need to use the facilities.
- Photo Fee; Most museums and palaces charge still camera fees for interior use. These are separate fees and tickets, just like the tickets used for entrance. DenRus provides these tickets at no additional charge, in other words the cost is included in our tour price. However, video cameras usually require a separate and additional ticket for which the fee is not included.
- Guide’s personal "Whisper" sound system for parties of ten (10) or more persons: DenRus guides have use of high quality personal microphone, and all guests have use of low distortion, high fidelity personal listening receivers to allow quiet narrating to be heard flawlessly by all members of the group. In larger venues this can make a significant difference in your enjoyment and understanding of the fascinating details the guide provides. (Note: The use of the system requires training, and this benefit is provided for parties of minimum of ten (10) persons only. For smaller groups of less than ten persons they can be rented for an additional cost of $ 5.00 per day, or $ 8.00 for two days per person.)
- Restroom Stops and Fees: DenRus tours follow the internationally accepted scheduling of comfort stops at maximum of three (3) hours intervals. However, our guides at the service of their guests, and they arrange restroom stops whenever requested. In many cases in St. Petersburg the use of the facilities is not free, but the fees are always included in our tour price.
- Raincoats: In case of a rainy day DenRus provides poncho-type rain coats for each guest.
