Applying for a Russian Visa

We often hear of how people avoid coming to Russia because the visa is so difficult to get. Considering how easy and fast the process is we wonder if they are responding to the rumors passed by those who never visited or who have never traveled.


. We list the steps to get a Tourist visa below:
1 Order a Tourist Visa Voucher(invitation) Any visa requires an invitation from a tour company such as DenRus. We will supply your invitation for free if you are using our services or for a fee if not. Click here to order if you are not using DenRus Services. Request Visa Invitation here

Fill out application form

You can download the appropriate visa application form on this web site. Click here: US Citizen form  or World Wide Form

Gather additional material

  • Completed Application form
  • 2 Passport type photos
  • Voucher(invitation)
  • Passport with at least 2 blank pages
  • Self Addressed Stamped Envelope or prepaid FedEx envelope
  • Consular fee in a Postal Money order or in funds transfer as required by the Russian Consulate for your area

The application includes these items in addition to you application form. The consulate fee is determined by the country of citizenship.
Russian Consular fees in the US: For single entry visas are:
$100 for  not less than six business days processing
;$150 for not less than three business day processing;
$200 for next business day processing or two business day processing;     
$300 for same day processing;

4 Send package to nearest Russian Consulate Normal processing time is about 1 week. If you need your visa in less time additional fees are needed for 1 or 3 day rush service, these can be quite expensive. Consulate Addresses here
