Start your exclusive “Made in Estonia” tour by driving through the wooden residential area of Kalamaja (“Fish house”) to the local ceramics factory. Here you can both learn about the way that clay is turned into beautiful masterpieces and also buy the hand-painted products in the factory shop.
Continue your tour by driving back to the city centre and disembarking your coach at Toompea Hill. View the baroque Toompea Castle, now the residence of the Estonian Parliament and visit the lovely Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, a dominating feature of Upper Town's city skyline, and home to numerous golden icons and mosaics. You will then have a chance to take photographs from one of the best viewpoints of Tallinn before descending to the Lower Town.
Take the historic cobblestone streets of the lively
Old Town for your next destination, Catherine’s handicraft passage. Soak in the atmosphere of actual handicraft processes by visiting, as free
time will be allotted for your real “Made in Estonia” shopping at the craft workshops. This is
the place where glass, leather, millinery and ceramic wares can be seen in production and purchased. Finish your tour by taking a short
walk back to the coaches and drive to the port.
