Note: This is a totally private sightseeing tour of the Capital of Finland, Helsinki operated exclusively for you, for your family, or for your own private party or group upon request.

Activity level: Easy. This is a most relaxed and enjoyable private touring opportunity offered, and you may totally control the speed and progress. Perfectly suitable for wheelchair passengers. . 
Major sites and inside admissions included:  This is a most comprehensive tour covering all the major sites and locations of the charming Capital of Finland, Helsinki.  The sights are too numerous to list here. There will be endless number of photo opportunities, and one inside visit to the Rock Church, provided there is no service at that time. Since this is your own private tour, you may also request changes and modifications, and photo stops, as you wish within the time limit of 3 hours total. ITINERARY:
Meet your local guide at the pier, board your transportation vehicle and your private guided Helsinki city tour is ready to start. (Note: The itinerary and the order of sites and locations as mentioned below may be change pending on the pier where your cruise ship has docked.)
From the pier we begin a scenic coastal drive along the picturesque waterfront of Helsinki. See the UNESCO protected World Heritage Site of Suomenlinna, Fortress Island across the bay, and possibly some local housewives cleaning their rugs in special wooden, floating piers by the sea. This is a generations old Finnish tradition. Next to the coastal area there is also the diplomatic part of the city located, displaying a myriad of elegant buildings and foreign embassies of all the leading countries in the world.
We shall make a stop at the Temppeliaukio Church, also called the “Rock Church” (an inside visit will be possible only provided there is no service going on at the time). This unique church is built inside a solid rock, with the inner walls left rough and unfinished, The church is crowned outside with a solid copper dome.

In Sibelius Park we’ll get off the coach to view the huge imposing Sibelius Monument, before moving on past the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1952 Olympic Games. Next is the city’s main street Mannerheimintie, lined with many fine buildings such as the modern Opera House, the Alvar Aalto designed Finlandia Hall, the National Museum, the Parliament Building, and the Kiasma Modern Art Museum.  Nearby is the main Railway Station, an architectural show piece in its own right.
Our tour shall wind thought the narrow streets to the Esplanade, an elegant tree-lined boulevard with exclusive shops, with a leafy parkland divider in the centre, which is an inviting, popular sitting area for the locals, with live concerts and buskers.  At the base of the Esplanade there is the bustling Market Square and local harbour, overlooked by the imposing red brick onion-domed Uspenski Russian Orthodox Cathedral.  Rounding off the tour there will be time to walk around Senate Square and the green-domed Great Lutheran Cathedral -  the symbol of the city.
At the end of the tour return to your ship, or in case you wish to be left at the busy downtown area, as our guests so often prefer, that is possible, however, then the return to the ship will be on your own later either by taxi or public transportation.
